These sophisticated scarves are made by Phou Tai artisans in Savannakhet Province in southern Laos. They are made from hand-spun cotton tie-dyed with indigo (ikat technique). All motifs are hand-designed and use natural dyes. Each scarf and its design pattern is completely unique and represents the individual artists’ style and process.
