Description The Bosch RFPR-12 RADION Wireless PIR Detector is a high performance, Passive infrared (PIR) based motion sensors that use advanced signal processing to provide superior catch performance and unsurpassed false alarm immunity. This pet‑friendly model generates alarm signals for human intruders without generating false alarm signals for pets. Turn pet immunity on or off based upon application requirements. When pet immunity is turned off, the detector provides superior catch performance identical to the non‑pet models. When pet immunity is turned on, the detector can distinguish between signals caused by humans and signals caused by pets. It ignores signals caused by one or two pets up to 13 kg (30 lb) or numerous rodents. An integral RF transmitter reports low battery and tamper status, and sends a supervisory signal to the control panel. Features PIR Signal Processing PIR Signal Processing Motion Analyser II uses multiple thresholds and timing windows to analyse timing, amplitude, duration, and polarity of signals to make an alarm decision. The detectors tolerate extreme levels of heat and light from heaters and air conditioners, hot and cold drafts, sunlight, lightning, and moving headlights. There are three sensitivity settings. Draft and Insect Immunity The sealed optical chamber provides immunity to drafts and insects. Temperature Compensation The sensor adjusts its sensitivity to maintain consistent catch performance at critical temperatures. Battery Life Extension In the normal operating mode, an alarm can be transmitted only after three (3) minutes have passed since the previous alarm restoral. This 3 minute lockout time reduces unnecessary RF transmissions in high traffic areas, thereby extending battery life. Operating Voltage is Supplied by two 3 VDC lithium batteries. Battery Life is approximately 5 years under normal operation conditions using the recommended battery types.
