Science Lab – 9 A theory in physical sciences can have meaning for a child only when he observes a phenomena with his own sense organs. And it is the practical work in science which provides him empirical evidence which becomes knowledge. Teacher should help the students formulate a hypothesis and test it by scientific methods, thus bridging the gap between what they are taught and what they experience.
